Or more like the recipe: don't sleep for two days straight, preferably make those days cloud-covered and dull. At the end of the second day, at 22h00, sleep! Snore loudly till 11h45 the next day, get up, open the curtains, feel the sunshine! Then go out and buy a beer and ice cream, keep the beer for later and enjoy the icecream outside while watching white fluffly clouds drift past. THAT is the recipe for happiness!

In other news, I got back from my Eurotrip2008 (The UK, France, Belgium and Wales), had a wonderful time and took plenty of photos, some of which you will see on www.panopixel.org. Wales is a really beautiful country, as they describe far away lands in fairy tales, rolling hills and warm cuddly sheep with innocent eyes and steaming thighs.
I added a screenshot to the GTA2 section demonstrating how administrators play GTA2! We has teh power to kickban and fragroll at the same time.
Went to sleep, the keyboard was fine. Woke up, the top row Q to P except for T and Y no longer worked (QWERTY keyboard). How the hell?
Thought up the term "Battle of Emo Jima" today while looking down at a pathetic emo scurrying along the ground before my feet. I googled that term later to make sure I was the first. BAM! Someone made a forum post on 2007-03-05 at 10h37 using that precise phrase, "Battle of Emo Jima". WAAARGH! Is the creativity singularity just around the corner?
I reformatted the whole GTA2 section, completed the ASCII list of characters for attaining 'differently' looking nicks in GTA2 multiplayer, rewrote the screenshots section and added a lot of new ones.

The audio from the in-game clips is a bit desynched, I have no idea why that happened, I tried several times to fix it and I couldn't. The source clips are perfect, the video ditor desynched them by itself. Oh well, not important. Here's a description of how this trick works.
Today I beat GTA2 :] With the help of TommySprat (Netherlands) I developed and perfected a technique that was first discovered by [DAFE] (Canada), Vyrulynt (USA) and onald_Reagan (USA). Today we did what has never been done before, as far as we know, and this is the ultimate technique that can be performed in GTA2. A good time to retire :]

www.panopixel.org, my business website, is almost done. Still finding out about the best money transfer and e-commerce solutions, once I choose the best one for me (probably tomorrow) I'll upload the gallery.
I wrote that I would redo this website and that the domain www.theonlychurch.org would function once more. It will, but that is not a priority. Working with 20 000 x 10 000 pixel 16bit panoramas takes a while, working on a new website and learning about being an entrepreneur also takes time and those are my priorities; that's business. Once that's are done, I will take care of pleasure - this site.

www.deathcaller.pl has been active since January the 30th.
Today I'm leaving for Belgium for two weeks to meet with people I like, to eat food I like and drink beer I like, and go pick up a Pentax k10d + 18-55mm lens + 50-200mm lens + accessories, which I like. As of the 22nd of February the domain www.theonlychurch.org will expire, which means that it may or may not cease to work. The domain provider wasn't clear as to this, although it will probably still function for another 2 weeks following that. Regardless of this, when I return home on the 2nd of March I will transfer this domain to a new host which offers a better deal, which means that this site will be better and faster. If www.theonlychurch.org doesn't work for a week or two, check back during the first week of March or use www.drslony.110mb.com
I came got back to Polska from the UK on the 13th. I was lucky enough to see London bathed in sunshine, which I'm told is rare! In about a month's time my domain theonlychurch.org is going to expire. When it does so, I'm moving to a better host but during the process there might be some down time. The domain name won't change. Translation of Autopano Pro 1.4 into Polish completed and happy license received, creation of "the band's" website complete for now. "The band's" because they changed their name three times already and I still didn't receive a confirmation on their last choice - Sybir - so I still can't register a domain. 110mb.com, where I host this website, turned out to be a typical overselling hosting service. They promised more than they could offer in the beginning when I set this site up on their servers and since then they have been continually changing the agreement that I signed with them for the worse. What started out as 2GB disk space, 10MB per file, many file types allowed, and 1 MySQL database free is now still 2GB, but one file can have a maximum size of 5MB, many file types forbidden (amongst those are exe and 7z) and in order to get a MySQL database I must pay $9.95. Oh, and for using Joomla they delete your account and ban your IP range. If people are offered a free passage on a ship, you don't demand that they start rowing or paying once it's halfway out at sea.
Until I find another hosting service, don't hold your breath for the new version of this website which will depend on Joomla. I will update the information that is already here and perhaps add something new once in a while, but only minor changes, and the gallery depends on MySQL so it's down until I move to a new host.
Any hosting services you can suggest? (Requirements: no ads, ftp access, MySQL, PHP with option to turn 'safe mode' off, at least 200MB disk space, maximum file size allowed at least 1MB) Both free and paid interest me. I lost the latest news posts due to an accidental index.php overwrite, yet apart for the posts, all the updates since 2007-04-29 are still in effect.
See the new interactive panorama I added to the Panorama album in the Gallery, it was taken in Greenwich [w] near the observatory where the Prime Meridian [w] originates.
I switched from using PTViewer (a viewer for panoramic photographs with HDR support) for LDR panoramas to ImmerVision's PURE Player because of it's smooth fullscreen rendering capabilities. I will still use PTViewer for HDR panoramas as PURE Player doesn't support them. See the Panoramas album in the gallery.
I have a lot of work on my hands therefore progress with Joomla is going slowly. Allegedly Firefox 2 users do not see my site correctly, this is due to inconsistent CSS support across browsers and I will fix it, however only once I migrate to CMS. I do not see the point of wasting more time on this current design when it will change soon anyway.

I added a new album to the gallery - Panoramas. You need to have Java [w] installed in order to see them. There are various Java virtual machines [w] (a JVM is a fancy name for a program that lets you use Java) available - some proprietary, some open source. See a list here. I learned about High Dynamic Range Imaging [w] lately, and so I set out to take some photographs to put theory into practice. I assume that images that look best when tone mapped from HDR are those that have a wide spectrum of luminance, those that would have very bright and very dark areas when shot normally, and I figured that a church would be a great place to see such contrasts in play. There is a church near me (Kosciol Swietego Ducha) which I never had entered. I hoped it would have large and colourful stained glass windows. It turned out that despite being built for around 30 years, it's basically empty inside, and the stained glass windows are rather pathetic. In the future, I will visite other churches in the town center (such as Kosciol Matki Boskiej Czestochowskiej) which have architecture and furnishing worth being photographed. Nevertheless, I spent some time in the bare church, focusing more on reflective surfaces such as the floor. You can see the results in the gallery.
I recorder some footage from the People Can Fly game called Painkiller, which you can see on google videos here. I will also soon be adding some photos taken at my allotment and in the forest.

Work is in progress to switch this site to a CMS. At first I wanted to try TYPO3 [w], but after testing on OpenSourceCMS I decided to use Joomla! [w]. The switchover will take place probably by the middle of March. It could as well happen this week, but the way things are going I do not see much free time ahead to work on it. There will be no major updates till that time, but I will add a new album to the gallery as soon as I retouch some photographs... probably tomorrow. I also installed Gentoo Linux [w] by hand following the Gentoo handbook, and so far it works perfectly, and much faster than if it were installed using the automated installation wizard! I am very impressed.

Tired of feeling screwed-over by a local supermarket called EKO, I called the health inspector on Wednesday, 2007-02-14 (listen to the conversation here), informing him that EKO is selling products, such as tea and coco, past their sell-by date. Their sauerkraut barrels were also host to a most unmerciful smell. Today, while buying rolls there, I happened upon a team of health inspectors, whom I kindly greeted with a 'hallo' :] Aah, the glorious feeling of being the one who shoves a big corporate rubber dick up someone else's asshole for a change :D
Paczki paczki niam niam niam! Tlusty czwartek, or Fat Thursday, the last Thursday before Lent, the last opportunity to stuff yourself like a pig, and feel good about it, before Easter... if you're a Christian, of course. Me not being one, it's just an excuse to spend some money on paczki. Money that I wouldn't normally spend on them, being a scrooge, a piker, a miser, a cheapskate, a niggard and a filthy parsimonious Jew and all that :] (no offence to the Judaic peoples of course, I make fun of stereotypes and would glady mock and rip at the stereotypes of my own culture just as well).
